Education

Ministries supported Colegio Isaias Immanuel located in Hoya del Caimito, Santiago.  Students from pre-K to grade 8 are supported through the G.O. Kids! Sponsorship program where they receive an education, school supplies, and a birthday and Christmas present.  The school’s focus is to prime future leaders on the island.

An additional 21 churches (7 in Haiti) offer spiritual instruction to their communities offering what mercy ministries they can offer in conjunction with serving teams.

Sports Outreach

sportsSports outreach offers an alternative to the streets for hundreds of at risk urban youth and equips them with a vision to transform their communities by becoming agents of positive change. After school programs will offer healthy opportunities in self-development as well as encourage young people to stay in school long term. As leaders emerge they will have opportunities to become involved in a variety of community development initiatives spanning from health issues facing developing world communities to micro-business co-ops and startups.

The Complex will include multiple baseball fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, soccer fields, and indoor basketball courts as well.

Water Purification

water.pur.2Dysentery caused by poor water is the leading cause of death in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti.  By implementing water purification systems in partnering communities, we offer clean water as part of our long-term development efforts.

Kingdom Business

kingdom BusinessKingdom business allows for business men and women to get involved in the developement of sustainable funding for on-going ministry on the island and for the ministry overall.

In Mongolia G.O. works with local leaders to help addicts and women in the sex industry rehabilitate and develop new life skills for dignified, God honoring work.

In Urban America G.O. works with local leaders to establish and grow churches, mentor high risk youth and establish Kingdom businesses that give under-resourced residents opportunities to thrive.

In the Dominican Republic, the Leadership Development Complex will serve as an economic engine within the community. A multitude of business startups and rental properties will provide sustainable income for the program at large. Among the first phase of businesses will be apartment and office facilities available for rent, a block company, a welding shop, and motorcycle repair shop. As these initial companies become profitable other startups will begin, each growing the opportunities for involvement for at risk youth in developing integrity, work ethic, and on the job experience giving them a vision not just for employment, but for business leadership.

Medical Clinics

medicalMany people in the Dominican and Haiti go without medical care due to the expense or the travel involved.  The G.O. Ministries Medical Outreach programs are designed to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the communities we serve.  Dr. Vladimir Rosario Canela and Dr. Auris Canela are joined by registered nurse, Isabel Alba to provide a daily clinic in Hoya del Caimito, Santiago five days a week.  In addition, G.O. Ministries offers medical clinics throughout the region in the more remote communities we partner in to provide basic medical care and needed medications and vitamins in conjunction with short-term mission teams.  Over 10,000 patients are seen each year on average through our medical clinics.
