Bio:
When Eduard accepted Christ at the age of 14, he asked God to help him feel His power so he could do God’s work. He may not have known it at the time, but God would lead Eduard to follow in his father’s footsteps. And, after serving in leadership roles from G.O.’s beginning, Eduard sees this was a natural progression. His father, Ramon Gabriel was not only the pastor of Central Church in the Hoya del Caimito neighborhood of Santiago, but also the former president of G.O. Ministries in the Caribbean. Now, Eduard fills those roles.
Eduard, the eldest of six children, attended Coleigo Biblico in Eagle Pass, Texas where he earned his seminary degree in theology. From there, he co-pastored a church for two years in Texas before returning to the Dominican Republic.
Today, Eduard is busy wearing multiple hats, yet, he says, his work of pastoring and leading G.O. are an extension of each other and have the same mission: to reach people for Christ. “Our country and the different communities can be changed by the love of God,” Eduard says and he serves with that goal in mind, addressing pressing and on-going issues such as drug addiction and broken families. Eduard meets with the other 40 G.O. pastors serving in the Dominican and Haiti as a group each month as well as individually whenever possible to encourage them and ensure they remain unified. He also works regularly with the leaders and staff of the various G.O. teams.
Eduard serves faithfully with his wife, Kendy, and they have two girls, Enitza (12) and Elisa (6).
